Philosophy

The purpose of Steinreich Bibelschule is to teach and train students who are interested in deeper biblical understanding, mission work and church planting.

This school is founded on the traditional theology of the Anabaptist–Mennonite doctrine.

Steinreich Bibelschule is also a place to continue your education. We teach German language arts and offer Spanish and English courses. Knowing at least one language well is the key to understanding more and studying successfully.

Jesus says in Matthew 9:37–38: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” And in the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19–20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Bible school is a place where we are equipped with the Word of God and prepared to go and teach others. It is also a place for those who already serve as pastors but would like to be better equipped for that work, and for those who carry other responsibilities in churches, schools or on the mission fields.

Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:2: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” And in verse 15: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

In the Bible school we want to train capable workers who correctly handle the word of truth. Because the church of Jesus Christ has been instructed by Jesus himself to carry out the Great Commission, we want to equip those who teach and preach the Word of God, give them a biblical foundation, and entrust the Word to reliable people who are qualified to teach others.

Fundaments of our teachings

We accept the whole Bible and the Apostles’ Creed as the truth.

• We believe in God, the eternal Spirit, who revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, full of grace and truth, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; true God and true man, who lived a perfect, holy and sinless life, suffered crucifixion and death for our sin and rose again, and who will come back to establish His eternal Kingdom.
• We believe in the immortality of the soul, the resurrection from the dead, and our eternal condition determined by God’s righteous judgement.
• We accept the Old and New Testaments as the infallible Word of God and the only authoritative guide for the faith and life of Christian discipleship.
• We are saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ. Saving faith involves surrendering your will to Christ, trusting Him fully, and joyful obedience to His Word as a faithful disciple.
• We believe that Jesus lived and taught according to the recorded biblical ethics, presenting God’s plan for each individual, and we accept His command to every believer to live by His example. We believe this lifestyle also demands defencelessness against evil through worldly means, the fullest understanding of love, and the exclusion of force, including warfare.
• We believe in the power of God and in prayer as a means of communicating with God, emerging from the desire of the heart to do God’s will.
• We believe that the church is one body of believers, regenerated by faith in Christ and cleansed by His blood, baptized by His Spirit and separated to God as members of this body, whose head is Christ.
• We believe in the brotherhood of the redeemed under the Fatherhood of God in Christ Jesus.
